Bio: Damian Grzechca is with the Department of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Microelectronics, Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland. His research interests concern artificial intelligence methods to engineering problems, that is, test and diagnosis of analog and mixed-signal electronic circuits, enhancing adaptive driver assistance systems, and localization and positioning of objects especially using Ultra Wide Band technology. His current research concerns data fusion for various aspects of predictive maintenance, for example, railway infrastructure safety and also positioning enhancement in a smart city environment.

Bio: Maciej Jagaciak – futurologist, futures researcher, engineer. Known for his expertise in futures studies and strategic planning. He is a graduate of Automation and Robotics at Warsaw University of Technology. He gained expertise in the design and programming of control systems and industrial robots. Before turning professional in the field of futures studies, he spent seven years working as a maintenance engineer in Danone dairy factory.
Throughout his career, Maciej has worked with various organizations and companies, helping them anticipate and prepare for future challenges and opportunities. He has experience in conducting foresight studies, creating scenarios, modeling and implementing strategic planning processes. He has worked with the UNFCCC, the European Commission, the Ministry of Planning and Development, the Naval Academy and the University of Warsaw, among others. Recently was a part of the research project conducted by the “Safe Hydrogen” team of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Organisation and Management in Industry “ORGMASZ”.
Maciej is also an active member of the Future Studies community, presenting his work at conferences and seminars in Poland and abroad. He is fascinated by exploring new technologies and trends and helping organizations navigate the complex and dynamic world of the 21st century. He is one of the founding members of the Polish Society for Future Studies, where he has remained a member of the board of directors for years.
